Let's join hands and serve Swachhta Hi Seva

Since 2017, the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign—featuring various cleanliness activities—has been organized with great enthusiasm across the country from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, under the aegis of the Swachh Bharat Mission. States across the nation participate competitively, driven by the fact that the performance of local self-government institutions is evaluated at the national level, including through the Swachh Survekshan rankings. The campaign is designed around a specific theme each year. This year, the Central Government has launched the campaign based on the concept "Swachhata Mein Sabhag, Swachh Bharat, Vikasit Bharat" (Participation in Cleanliness, Clean India, Developed India), with the slogan "Joining Hands for a Waste-Free Future." Based on this, the State Suchitwa Mission has rebranded the campaign as "Kaiyodukai" (Joining Hands)—aimed at creating a waste-free, new-age Kerala. "Kaiyodukai" is planned as a curtain-raiser for the campaign activities that the State Government is set to launch and implement starting on Gandhi Jayanti.
